Fatima Ljeskovica (1951) lived with her family in Liješće before the war, and in 1993 they moved to the “safe zone” of Srebrenica. With the fall of Srebrenica, Fatima’s husband Bedrija (1946) and sons Mehmed (1972) and Amir (1978) were killed.
Fatima says that in Potočari she saw all the evil in the world in one place.
She donated her older son’s wallet, ID card, driver’s license, and vehicle registration to the archive of the Srebrenica Memorial Center for permanent retention.
Fatima’s testimony is documented within the multimedia project, “Memento: Fragments of the Srebrenica Genocide,” which is produced by the Srebrenica Memorial Center and the Post-Conflict Research Center.
